Jitterbug “J” (A310) Reviews
June 10th, 2010
We’ve compiled all available Jitterbug Phone Reviews online. The results were actually quite impressive. Out of 15 online reviews, almost all from actual Jitterbug Users, the Jitterbug J Phone received an impressive 4.08 stars out of 5 for its average rating, far outranking its predecessors the Jitterbug Dial and the Jitterbug One-Touch. We attribute this to the upgrades Jitterbug implemented when creating the new model in 2009. These upgrades included adding Bluetooth Capability and SMS Text Functionality. The improvements were such that many users reviewed this phone at 5 out of 5 stars, many of them glowing reviews. To be fair, there were some 1 out of 5 star reviews, and we have included those as well. However, most users enjoyed the simplicity of the Jitterbug J, along with the ability to tap into some modern advances, such as hands-free Bluetooth and Text Messaging. Read the reviews below and I’m sure you will be convinced that there have been major improvements made to the Jitterbug Phone and service, and that this may well be a good option for yourself or someone you would like to introduce to wireless technology. Every review that we referenced is show below.
Major Improvements over the Dial:
- Added Bluetooth Capability – Allowing for a wireless earpiece for hand-free access. They also began offering a Bluetooth Earpiece to match the phone’s functionality
- Added Text messaging – This feature is paramount to feeling connected technology-wise, but not being overwhelmed with functions. The current price is 10 cents a text
- Better Customer Service – This wasn’t really a phone feature, as it was a company wide initiative to increase customer satisfaction. The demographic of 55+ can be hard demographic to design a technological product for and support that product, and there was major improvements implemented when the Jitterbug J was released. This is very evident in the reviews that we compiled.
- Better Coverage – It seems that the coverage of the Jitterbug J was also increased around the time of the Jitterbug J Launch. There weren’t many mentions of coverage problems with the Jitterbug Dial reviews, but there were a few. With the Jitterbug J we didn’t see any comments relating to coverage problems. A very good sign.
- Return Policy – The Jitterbug company was so sure you would enjoy the product that they offered a 30 day or 30 minute talk time, whichever came first, return policy. This really allowed customers to get a feel for the product, and for the few that didn’t like it, they were able to return their product within the allotted time or minutes used and get a refund. This is something that is not common in the cell phone industry, as far as we know. You can read more about that here:
