Jitterbug “Dial” (A120) Reviews

June 10th, 2010
We reviewed the older model Jitterbug Phone, the Jitterbug Dial, and the results weren’t nearly as good as the Jitterbug J.  The Jitterbug Dial came in at an average of 2.73 stars out of 5, as opposed to the newer Jitterbug J, which came in at 4.08 stars. The phone that you will find being sold by Jitterbug today is the new model, the Jitterbug J. Looking closely at those reviews you will find that they are drastically different from the reviews of the Jitterbug Dial. And, when thinking about it, it really makes sense. If we think back to technology from 2006, we think of slower computers, more expensive parts, and generally a less efficient and enjoyable user experience. In addition, Jitterbug as a company was fairly new at that time, and this, along with the Jitterbug One Touch, was really their first product put to market. Think of the Dial, from what we gathered in Jitterbug Phone Reviews, really as the test run, and think of the Jitterbug J as the ultimate product of those tests. To compare the two, though not instinctive at first sight, really would be comparing apples and oranges. Also, we have noticed a significant increase, as we read through the reviews, in customer service response and satisfaction. The customer service, in 2008 based reviews, was said to be, on occasion, not up to par. But as we read though the newer reviews for the Jitterbug J, and try to aggregate out the information we have found, we find that there has been a significant increase in Jitterbug Phone Review satisfaction, and that the product has evolved into something that a large customer base would like to own.

From the phone’s standpoint, the Dial did not have the Bluetooth support. It also did not have the text messaging support. Here at Jitterbug Phone Reivews, find that, even if the user is not going to use the text messaging, just having it available makes the user feel more empowered. For example, you mom or dad may not want to use text messaging, but what about that one time you want to send them a quick text like “John made the football team”, or “Happy Birthday Mom”. There really are many advantages to having a phone that can deliver and send texts in today’s society.

So, as you can see, the Jitterbug Dial is the older phone that you most likely will not end up purchasing. What you want if you’re going for a Jitterbug Phone, is the Jitterbug J. You can read the reviews down below, for the references that we collected, but I recommend that you check out the Jitterbug J Reviews afterward. That’s where you’re really going to get your best idea of what you need and if the Jitterbug offers that.
