What features come with the Jitterbug?
The Jitterbug J includes a Bluetooth interface, a speakerphone feature, caller ID, and a storage capacity of 50 contacts.
How long does the battery last?
According to the manufacturer, the Jitterbug J’s lithium ion battery will last 4 hours of talk-time. Other sources put the number at closer to 3 hours of talk-time. Users can also expect 300 hours of standby-time before the Jitterbug needs recharged.
How many models of the Jitterbug exist?
Three. There were two monochromatic models released in October, 2006 – the “One-Touch” that included minimal buttons and the “Dial” that included a standard dialing keypad. In June, 2009, the company released the SPH-A310, or the “Jitterbug J.” The Jitterbug J is available in white, red, and graphite.
Who is the Jitterbug Phone marketed to?
Because of its larger buttons and simple layout, the Jitterbug is mostly marketed toward customers who only use their mobile phones for basic functions, those who use mobile phones minimally, and senior citizens.

How are payments set up?
Payments for the Jitterbug are on a pre-paid or pay-as-you-go, month-to-month basis. The pre-paid plans deliver 30 talk-minutes for $15.00. Prepaid voice bundles range from $15 for 30 voice minutes to $80 for 800 minutes. The pay-as-you-go plan is $10 plus $0.35 per minute.
Are Jitterbugs capable of SMS (Text) Messaging?
Yes, texting is available on the Jitterbug J using a standard North American keypad.
Does the Jitterbug include emergency functions?
Yes. For an extra fee, Jitterbug offers a “dial-a-nurse” option for customers in unexpected health situations. The fee is $4 per month per phone. There are several other health options for customers too, both now and in the works. (See The Company.)
Are the phones guaranteed?
Jitterbug offers a return policy of 30 days of ownership or 30 minutes of talk-time, whichever comes first.
